Center for Nonprofit Resources The Center for Nonprofit Resources is the Miami Valley's only nonprofit resource center devoted exclusively to nonprofits. The Center is also home to the region's only Volunteer Center, which is celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2003. The Center is devoted to helping nonprofits meet the three challenges cited most often by local executive directors, Board members and funders: raising more money, planning strategically and preparing staff and volunteers for effective leadership. The Center's mission is to strengthen and sustain the nonprofit sector and it accomplishes this mission through public workshops, on-site workshops, coaching, consulting services, public forums, volunteer placement and training.
Business Volunteers Unlimited Business Volunteers Unlimited (BVU) is a unique and powerful model to engage volunteers from businesses in productive leadership and volunteer activities. BVU prepares and refers business volunteers for service on nonprofit boards of directors; involves professionals in providing volunteer management assistance to nonprofits; and channels thousands of employees and their families to a variety of well-organized direct service volunteer activities.
